365 Challenge Day 34 - 03/02/2012

The Greenhouse Effect

365 Photo Challenge February

I had a lovely day today. Michael had the day off from work, so drove me to mine so that he could meet me on our lunch, and when the time came brought freshly cooked tuna pasta. Ahhh... my favourite. I love it when it's warm too. We sat in our car and though it was freezing outside, the sun was glaring down on us which turned our chosen dinner area into a greenhouse. We sat and talked about anything and everything, laughed about horrendous parking jobs, played the number plate game (or at least our version) and basically enjoyed one hour away from work where we could just be our big geeky selves. Friday's have got to be our most stressful working day, so to have those little happy moments definitely makes up for all the poop.

After work we stopped off at Asda to pick up a few potatoes for tea, and took the Millie monster out for a walk while they baked in the oven. We walked super quick, both due to the dropping temperature and Mike's irrational fear that the house would burn down because of the above mentioned potatoes, and managed to walk 1.85 miles in just under 30 minutes. I'm seriously getting addicted to walking our dippy dog.

    1. I adore tuna pasta, but the trick is not to over do it on the mayo. Yuck. We now have a week off from work, so I'm expecting a few more lovely days. x

  2. Ah sounds like a really nice day; I love picnics in the car except mine always involve KFC or McDonalds, nothing as healthy as tuna pasta! x

    1. Ours used to always involve McDonalds or KFC but this year we decided to see how long we could go without takeaways so the healthier option was the only option, but super yummy. x

  3. Yeah I have fears of the cooker and going out, even if I haven't used it I have to double check that it's turned off! You're getting seriously good at the power dog walking!

    1. I'll let him know that he's not the only one. I'm really enjoying walking Millie, I wish we'd started being good parents a long time ago, but I guess it's better late than ever. We even faced the snow to walk her today. So cold, but so worth it. x
