My First Ever MAC cosmetics Haul

I've been wanting to own Mac make-up for so long now, years in fact, but have never really been able to justify spending such large amounts of money on make-up.
For my upcoming wedding I had decided that Mac would be my make-up of choice for the day, plus an excellent excuse to spend a lot. My theory was that I could spend almost £50 on a make-up artist for one day, or do my own make-up and keep it all. Obviously I went for the later.

Then on Saturday night I noticed that Debenhams had started selling Mac and they also had 10% off all beauty. I couldn't believe it. That night then consisted of my partner and I working through our finances to see if I could really afford all that I wanted. By midnight I had made my selections and placed my order.
(I actually noticed this offer because of someone elses blog, I'm not sure who's though as they took their post down before I could make a mental note.)

My order arrived on Tuesday, which I think is fantastic seen as I placed my order late on Saturday night, so to me that's almost next day delivery! And free!
In total my order came to £60.50, saving £7, which with regards to Mac that's an incredible saving.
I picked up:

Mineralised Skin Finish Natural in Light/Medium

Studio Finish Concealer in NW20

Pro Colour x4 Compact
Mac Eyeshadow Vanilla Pan Form
Mac Eyeshadow Brule Pan Form
Mac Eyeshadow Wedge Pan Form

I did originally also want Embark, but about two weeks ago I bought Stila's Pigalle which is a very similar colour so I figured that I didn't really need it.

For me this is very exciting as not only does it mean I now own products I've wanted for so long, but it also means that I'm getting more organised when it comes to our wedding.

I've not tried any of these products out yet.
In fact they have spend their life with me being taken in and out of their boxes.
I've decided that I'm not going to wear any of it out of the house until my wedding day.
I am going to practice my look with them, but I don't want anyone to actually see it, especially Mike.

Which in turn means that I'm going to have to wait until I have some time alone at home before I can have a play.

Honestly I am talking about make-up!

So wish me luck that all will go well, and that I'll be able to pull off something pretty for my wedding day. And I'm sure I'll be posting some wedding pictures up once I'm married (obviously) so you'll be sure to see what I come up with.

  2. I'm hoping it's the right shade, I didn't have time to get it matched to my skin colour so I made an uneducated guess. haha.
