Sunday Snaps - Instagram Photo Dump # 3

Sunday Snaps KatieWrites

/ Getting ready after a lazy Sunday morning // our favourite place to walk // Jake and Dillon // Our usual photo spot (now a tradition) // Blogging after work in pj's and coat // Cooplans sausage rolls and beans nom nom // Chocolate fingers, Milk and Mike // My Nanna's winning scratch card, bless her // Milk toast // Millie walking herself // Nitro Millie // Kitty Death Lock /

What a wonderful week we've had. Because work has been slightly stressful (nothing new there then) it's made me really appreciate the time spent with family. Mike and I have had so many fun times and belly laughs, we spent quality time with my Nanna, Mike visited me at home on his lunch break because I was lonely and brought me dinner, and what better way to end the week than with snow and an upcoming week off???

Let me know what your week was like.

365 Challenge Day 35 - 04/02/2012

Fun in the... snow???

It was tough to stick to our dog walking challenge tonight, that was until we were all wrapped up warm and stepped foot outside. It started snowing while I was at work, and my footwear choice for the day was highly inappropriate for the weather, which unfortunately brought out at little grumpy Katie when my socks got all wet. On the way home we stopped of at Morrisons, then Co-op to picked up a few yummy items, then finally headed home, where we contemplated not going out again. But thankfully we decided that it wasn't fair on Millie so we pilled on the layers, pulled on the wellies and got our butts into gear.

We ended up having such a fun night, complete with snow ball fights, forward rolls in the snow, and the hilarious case of Millie face planting the front bumper of a parked car. I loved the walk, Mike loved the walk, and Millie 100% loved the walk. Sometimes you've just got to push through the laziness, because what waits on the other side is well worth it.

We may or may not have also thrown (or rather place nicely) Jake our indoor cat outside in the snow just to see his reaction. And if this did happen lets just say his reaction was a bit of a let down if I'm honest.

P.S. Once home I had the most relaxing bath ever, where I finally used my Christmas Candy Mountain Lush Bubble Bar. Ahhh-mazing!

365 Challenge Day 34 - 03/02/2012

The Greenhouse Effect

365 Photo Challenge February

I had a lovely day today. Michael had the day off from work, so drove me to mine so that he could meet me on our lunch, and when the time came brought freshly cooked tuna pasta. Ahhh... my favourite. I love it when it's warm too. We sat in our car and though it was freezing outside, the sun was glaring down on us which turned our chosen dinner area into a greenhouse. We sat and talked about anything and everything, laughed about horrendous parking jobs, played the number plate game (or at least our version) and basically enjoyed one hour away from work where we could just be our big geeky selves. Friday's have got to be our most stressful working day, so to have those little happy moments definitely makes up for all the poop.

After work we stopped off at Asda to pick up a few potatoes for tea, and took the Millie monster out for a walk while they baked in the oven. We walked super quick, both due to the dropping temperature and Mike's irrational fear that the house would burn down because of the above mentioned potatoes, and managed to walk 1.85 miles in just under 30 minutes. I'm seriously getting addicted to walking our dippy dog.
